Aleppo pepper is named after the Syrian city of Aleppo near the Turkish border. It is similar in appearance to crushed red pepper but differs in flavor; it has a fruitiness with a mild to moderate heat.
USES:
Great on roasted and grilled meats, chicken, and kabobs. Delicious with pasta and pizza. Adds zest to potatoes, eggplant, salads, and eggs. Complements any Mediterranean dish. Also known as Halaby pepper.
