True Ceylon Cinnamon (a.k.a Canela and Cinnamomum Verum (true)) is the dried bark removed from the plant Cinnamomum zeylanicum. True Cinnamon is native to Ceylon and has grown in our spice gardens since the early 15th century, a true HEIRLOOM! Carefully handpicked shavings of the evergreen cinnamon tree bark, are allowed to sun-dry and hand-rolled, curling into layers of fragrant Ceylon Cinnamon quills, powdered and packed into each HEIRLOOM Organic True Ceylon Cinnamon powder pack.
Brew into a tea, steep in soup, stew, stock and curries. Mix cinnamon powder with coconut sugar and sprinkle on baked goods, fruits, waffles, pancakes, hot beverages, cereal, yogurt, or even ice cream! Blend into smoothies and cocktails. Soak overnight oats with a dash of cinnamon powder, healthy seeds, and nuts.

30g bag in box, 500g, 1kg bags. Dispose of the soft plastic bag in the supermarket collection bin. The card box can be disposed of in your recycling bin. The reason we use a clear bag for spices is so you can see the product in the clear window in the front of the box before you buy. The box protects the product by reducing exposure to light thereby protecting the potency of the spice.
Advice when spices are used as a supplement: Most of these ancient spices have flavored our foods for centuries and are safe to consume regularly when used as a spice; a small proportion of ingredient when making foods. It would be very hard to overdose on a spice when it is a minute part of a food recipe. With recent research and articles highlighting the medicinal properties and health attributes of these spices, rather than just consuming it straight away as a supplement, it is always advisable to consult a nutritionist or doctor, if using this product as an ongoing treatment for a health issue. A health care provider may recommend a specific dosage depending on a person’s age, weight, and medical condition.
