Here are Mia’s tips on how to stay healthy while indoors at home during quarantine:
“The first tip, build your breakfasts around whatever fruit you have on hand. Blueberries are always a good source of antioxidants, Vitamin C (which supports immune health), and fiber (which helps us feel full). Current research is looking at blueberries and their potential ties to heart, brain and gut health.
For lunch and dinner, build your meals around protein and produce. Canned beans are a convenient source of protein and so are frozen Meatballs served over zucchini noodles.
Choose snacks that contain protein and fiber so you feel fuller for longer i.e. roasted chickpeas, veggies, or hummus.
For desserts, think of healthful benefits. Try making your own chocolate using cacao powder and Cocavo and natural sweeteners. “
