ABOUT:

Aromatic Ceylon Nutmeg Myristica fragrans, a tropical evergreen tree has grown naturally in the spice gardens of Ceylon from early 15th century. Carefully handpicked fragrant kernels are sundried naturally and milled to produce this exotic, fragrant powder. Aromatic Ceylon Nutmeg can be used to enhance flavors of sweet and savory dishes!

Uses:

Pairs well with savory and sweet dishes. Mix a dash of nutmeg powder, with coconut sugar and cinnamon in a shaker, sprinkle on baked goods, fruits, waffles, pancakes, hot beverages, cereal, yogurt, or even ice cream for an exotic flavor! Blend into smoothies and cocktails. Soak overnight oats with a dash of nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon powder, healthy seeds, and nuts. You can use it alone or pair it with other spices, such as cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. With a warm, sweet flavor, when added to desserts, it even acts as a palate cleanser. Great in pies, cakes, cookies, breads, fruit salads, and custards. Works well in savory, meat-based dishes, such as pork chops and lamb curry. Nutmeg can be sprinkled onto starchy vegetables like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and pumpkin to create a deep, interesting flavor. What’s more, you can add it to warm or cold beverages, including apple cider, hot chocolate, chai tea, turmeric lattes, and smoothies.

Flavour

Ceylon nutmeg has a warm and aromatic flavor profile. Depending on the harvest and season every batch of Ceylon Nutmeg can vary in color and to a minor degree in taste as it is a natural cottage-industry product that does not use any chemical refining, additives, or preservatives to standardize product like with large-scale commercially grown and heavily processed spices

Ingredient

100% powdered Nutmeg

Advice when spices are used as a supplement: Most of these ancient spices have flavored our foods for centuries and are safe to consume regularly when used as a spice; a small proportion of ingredient when making foods. It would be very hard to overdose on a spice when it is a minute part of a food recipe. With recent research and articles highlighting the medicinal properties and health attributes of these spices, rather than just consuming it straight away as a supplement, it is always advisable to consult a nutritionist or doctor, if using this product as an ongoing treatment for a health issue. A health care provider may recommend a specific dosage depending on a person’s age, weight, and medical condition.
