ABOUT

Discover the rich aroma and golden hue of our premium grade Nagin Saffron threads from Iran.

These premium threads are meticulously hand-harvested to ensuring quality is maintained at all stages of production.

Each 1g tin contains the delicate stigmas of the Crocus Sativus flower, offering a potent flavor that elevates a variety of dishes.

Nagin Saffron is one of the oldest and most expensive spice on the planet, because it is harvested and processed by hand. 17 saffron flowers are needed to produce 1 gram threads.

Nagin Saffron is dried stigmas of the flower which are dark red long threads.

For full flavour release, whole saffron threads need to be soaked in warm to hot water or in other liquids for at least 10 minutes.

Iranian Saffron has a warm floral bouquet and delicate earthy honey like taste with bitter back notes as expected from a premium grade product.

A true super-spice, Nagin Saffron contains vitamin A, B1, B2, Calcium, Sodium, Manganese, Potassium and Phosphorus.

USES

Saffron is used sparingly for colouring and flavouring foods. The threads are crushed and then infused or steeped in hot water or milk for about 20 or 30 minute for it’s colour to be fully extracted. The colour infusion is then added to foods. Saffron can be toasted dry and added directly to rice dishes.

Saffron pairs well with savoury and sweet dishes such as curries, shellfish, garlic, chicken, cream sauces, soups, polenta, rice, seafood, puddings, flans, ice creams and milk shakes.

Storage: Keep stored in the aluminium tin (which is airtight) in a cool place. Saffron threads will keep their flavour for 2-3 years.

Versatile Culinary Uses: Ideal for enhancing the taste and color of dishes like paella, biryani, risotto, and desserts.

Experience the luxury of high-quality saffron without the premium price tag.
