ABOUT:

This deliciously decadent Chocolate Avocado Mousse was sent to us by one of our customers.
She advises the quantities of ingredients can be adjusted a little to taste & texture.

INGREDIENTS:

Approx 6 ripe avocados, flesh only (Cocavo also has frozen avocados available from our Factory Shop)
  • 1/2 can Kara coconut cream or Kokonati Organic coconut cream, (add more to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla paste
  • 1 tablespoon good quality honey, warmed to liquefy – we stock & recommend Thompson’s Honey from Whangarei.
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of Cacao or Cocoa powder – Cocavo stocks organic cacao powder.

METHOD:

Put into food blender/thermomix blend until a smooth ‘dropping ‘ consistency
Add more coconut cream now if necessary
Put into stemmed glasses and chill in the fridge.

Leftovers?

Freeze in silicone moulds. When frozen put into zip lock bags. Keep for a month or so in freezer.

VARIATIONS or SPICE IT UP:

Coffee powder, or beetroot powder can also be used in place of chocolate powder
Chilli flakes for chilli chocolate avocado kick!
This is a healthy delicious dessert that will quickly become a family favourite.
